Latex Washing Latex
Washing Latex
Perspiration, pollution, nicotine and endless other things work against your latex and eats at it. So it is very important if you want to keep your latex for a long time to wash it everytime after you wear it.

When you come back from the club (if you are not completely shit-faced) or after your session, take off your clothes as soon as possible (yeah, that’s right you perv) to wash them. If you have trouble taking them off, you might hop in the shower to help you. It’s great, but be careful of this method if your latex has lots of metal on it. It might be stainless, but you’re still helping corroding it faster. Also, you should make sure that the glue the latex is put together with is not water soluble (ask the maker, you never know)

Use a very mild soap, like baby shampoo soap, since even the soap, given enough time, can get at the latex.

Then either towel dry it (but make sure you don’t have a towel that produces lint) or spread on a uniform surface and leave to dry, putting some conditioner or lube to make sure it doesn’t stick to itself while drying. I always dry mine with a towel to avoid the latex sticking together.

Another method is the washing machine. The first place I heard about it is from Martin & Bianca (latexlair) and I have to say I had my doubt. But if there are people to trust with latex it's those two, and I decided to go with it, and admit I use this method ever since. You may be worried it'll damage your latex, but I have to tell you, trust it, it does not, and it saves a lot of time if you have to wash latex often.

Put the latex in a wash bag for lingerie. Put in the washing machine making sure the cycle is at GENTLE. Avoid tumbling. Pour a little amount of lingerie soap (you can usualy find it in lingerie stores) Add a couple of towels for safety. Once it’s finished, you can take the towels and the bag and put in the dryer at air only (no heat). To prevent your latex from sticking, use a little bit of silicone-based lube on the latex and towels. Don’t forget the bag or you’ll end up with the interior of the drying machine covered in goo ;) Also, just to be safe, I always do a wash of sheets or towels before washing clothes.
