Storing a Corset
The first no-no about corset storage is rolling it and putting it away. I used to do that and once I told a corset enthusiast and she looked at me like I had just killed her mother. The corset needs to be hung by the laces, aired flat or over a chair. It allows it to breathe and regain its shape. This is also why it’s a good idea to alternate between corsets. As time goes, your corset will take the shape of your body (which is why you should never lend your corsets to anyone, so forget about those idea to buy corsets with your best friend to cut prices in two), but it’s still a lot of pressure for the material, so it’s best if you let the material have a little break.
